The manufacturing of these tanks requires special expertise , technology and strict quality control measures .These tanks are manufactured confirming to various design standards like ASME SECT VIII DIV I & II, AD- MERKBLATTER, PD5500, IS2825 and under the stagewise inspection of various third party inspection agencies like DNV, BVIS, TUV, LLOYDS ,PDIL and others. The stagewise inspection includes following stages:

Chemical, Tensile, bend , impact ,and hardness tests
Inspection of L seam and C seam setup
Dye Penetration test
X-ray Examination
Stress releiving
Ultrasonic thickness check
Hydraulic test
Visual and Size inspection
Surface treatment (SAND BLASTING)

The mounded system of LPG storage provides numerous advantages in terms of safety and environment factors. In view of the tremendous growth in domestic LPG consumption, the creation of storage terminals across the country to enable safe handling, storage and distribution of LPG is an issue of primary importance. BTV's integrated engineering skills on mounded storage systems offer tremendous value to clients in terms of an optimization in the total facility as a whole. BTV's long years of pressure vessel fabrication and rigorous quality procedures help ensure the efficient and trouble free service of all BTV mounded installations.

BTV's mounded LPG storage system consists of LPG/Propane bullets on mound alongwith complete pumping,civil, piping, electrical,instrumentation and cathode protection facilities to operate the plant. These vessels are manufactured on the shop floor in segments, shop stress relieved and subsequently transported using custom built A-Frames mounted on sanbed.
